FRENER & REIFER has been commissioned with the design engineering, fabrication and installation of the metal and glass facade for the new headquarters of “Rischart’s Backhaus” in Munich
Rischart’s Backhaus is a culinary institution in Munich. The traditional bakery business run by the Müller-Rischart family has a history going back almost 140 years and 15 sales outlets in the best locations in the city.
In future, the company will bake its “Brez’n”, “Krapfen”, “Stollen” and other items in one of the most modern baking halls in Europe. The new company headquarters is located above the Oktoberfest meadows on the Theresienhöhe. The total area of over 25,000m² will feature a glazed bakehouse, office space, a hotel area and a customer experience world, as well as company flats for employees.
The design by the Munich architectural firm Kiessler will replace their own current headquarters building. FRENER & REIFER GmbH, Bressanone/South Tyrol, was commissioned with the design-engineering, fabrication and installation of the entire metal/glass facade in stick system construction. “As a Munich-based holding company, we are of course particularly pleased to have won a project directly in our neighborhood with this contract,” says Dr. Andrea Borgato, CEO of FRENER & REIFER Holding AG. “We are proud that we are currently realizing two significant facade projects in Munich simultaneously, Rischart’s Backhaus and SAP Garden.
